1) After the weft has been dyed and dried the thread is wound onto bobbins; 2) The bobbins are carefully kept in the same order that they are wound to preserve the pattern; 3) The last photo show a shuttle with a bobbin inside being passed between the warp threads - photos are from Northeast Thailand and Loas.

4) The weaving is often done in small shops with just a few looms; 5) The final tie-dyed pattern reveals itself as the fabric is woven; 6) The weaver is shown using the beater to pull the weft tight, her right hand is poised to pulls a cord that throws the shuttle - photos from Pak Thong Chai, Northeast Thailand.
