1) Havana was a visual treat and a fun place to photograph. Most people were glad to have their picture taken and only a rare few asked for money. The guy on the bicycle rickshaw gave me the thumbs up after I snapped that picture. 2) The best restored cars seemed to be used for special occasions like weddings or to ferry around the rich tourist. Convertibles were by far the most popular. 3) To my surprise there was a Chinatown in Havana. In general, I found it hard to tell the tourist from the local, especially among the young people: both dressed the same. Cubans are from the same background as the rest of the Americas: mainly Europe and African.

4) Baseball is said to be a Cuban passion. Here a game is being played in a brightly painted, yet run down, field near Centro Havana. Actually in the streets I saw more football (soccer) being played. 5) My hotel was only a 10 minute walk from the Malecon, perhaps the most recognizable place in Havana. 6) One last picture of an old U.S. sedan with Russian Ladas and new Japanese sedans in the background. When I asked a Cuban who owned all the new cars, he laughed and said, "Government officials."
